SPF in Autumn

Hey everyone!

Hope everyone is well?

Autumn is really here, and we are loving it!

So now Summer is over some people may think it’s time to ditch their SPF.

We are here to tell you different.

SPF is just as important during these colder, darker months.

The sun emits two types of radiation, UVA and UVB rays.

UVA rays contribute to the signs of aging in the skin, lines , wrinkles, sagging. These rays can still reach you on cloudy days. They can reflect off surfaces like water, cement, sand and snow. They can also play a role in skin cancer formation so it’s extremely important to protect your skin from this.

UVB rays can also damage your skin all year round and are also responsible for skin cancer formation particularly at a higher altitude so ensure to pop on before those hikes!

To protect your face and neck it’s recommend to use two finger length applications and rub this into your face and neck to cover all areas. It needs to be applied every two hours or more frequently if swimming , heavy perspiration and towelling off.

Our ZO Skin Health sunscreens also protect against HEV light.

HEV Light or Blue Light is the light emitted from our electronic devices- smart phones, tablets, computer screens and TV’s. Free radicals in this HEV Light cause skin cells to produce enzymes that break down collagen and elastin.

So keep that SPF 50 as part of your regime rain, hail or shine <3.

Love,

The Team @ EOS.

xx
